Shrewsbury Swimming Club reached its crowdfunding target thanks to £4,500 of extra funding from Sport England, safeguarding its future after struggling due to rising costs and the pandemic.
In the end it raised more than £15,000 after it faced a drop in members and rising pool hire costs, and was unable to hold competitions.
