Who are we?
Dawlish Swimming Club was founded in 1865 and is one of the oldest swimming associations in the country. We operate as a charity and have 120 members ranging from 4 years up to 18 years old.
At Dawlish Swimming Club we pride ourselves in providing a fun programme that can take swimmers from their early years in Learn to Swim all the way through to high performance swimming at County, Regional, and National competition.
We are an inclusive, community club that encourages sport for all and whether our swimmers want to swim for fitness or to compete. Allowing members to get the most out of swimming, wherever their passions lie.
Why are we raising funds?
The Covid 19 pandemic has had a massive impact on our club.
Each year, our club relies on its fundraising revenue to survive.
This is achieved almost entirely by hosting our own competitive events, such as our Annual Firecracker Gala held at Plymouth Life Centre in October. Unfortunately owing to the pandemic, this has not been possible. The club has also suffered from not having any income for much of 2020. When able to return to the water we have also incurred additional costs to ensure C19 compliance and safety for our swimmers.
What will these funds be used for?
In order to survive, our club needs to replace the funding we would normally have achieved ourselves if it were not for the C19 Pandemic. These funds are vital to our continued operation.
Funding achieved above and beyond our target will allow us to invest in our new facility and expand our operation to cater for more young people in our community.

Businesses
We will be offering two businesses with an advertising opportunity in return for a pledge of £500 or more. These rewards are guaranteed.
Reward (1) All club kit ordered in 2021 will feature the name and website of the donating business. We will also provide a full page of advertising in our next open meet programme.
Reward (2) The name of the donating business will appear on the reverse of our medals for our next open meet. We will also provide a full page of advertising in our meet programme.
