Who can set up a bowls crowdfunding project? 

Bowls associations and grassroots clubs alike can choose to set up a crowdfunder to raise bowls club funding. You might need to raise money to refurbish, buy new kit, invest in training for players, or even support an individual team member in need. 

How is crowdfunding for bowls clubs paid out?

Crowdfunder lets you choose weekly or monthly payouts when you set up your project. If you do not wish to receive funds until a later date, you can choose to manually start payouts from your dashboard after your project goes live. Please note all funds go through a 7 day clearing period before they are eligible to payout.

Is my bowls crowdfunding project eligible for a match funding grant?

Grassroots teams with a bowls funding page may be eligible for match funding grants via our match funding scheme. We have regional and national public sector, corporate and local authority partners across the UK, including Sport England, Sport Wales and Sport NI. Each match funding partner will pledge a different sum to boost your fundraising total, depending on your eligibility. Check the individual criteria of each fund to see if you’re eligible to apply. 

Can I offer rewards to supporters of my bowls funding campaign?

Yes, you can give back to your fans and supporters by offering rewards and prize draws as part of your bowls funding project. Examples of rewards to offer include signed shirts or kit, luxury hampers, or a chance to train with your team. This can be a great way to engage your crowd, raise funds, and thank people for their support.
