Sport England Movement Fund

Crowdfunder and Sport England have teamed up to make match funding available to help get more people active, reduce the number of inactive people and tackle inequalities.

We’re encouraging not for profit organisations who play an important role in keeping their community physically active to get involved.

Sport England can offer up to £15,000 for physical activity projects in the community. You may be eligible for a ‘Pledge Award’ if your project can demonstrate how it will help improve, or create new, spaces for people to be active in, or provide equipment needed for the activity.

Sport England Priorities

Sport England receives more applications than they can fund. Therefore, they must decide which projects to prioritise.

Each year the Movement Fund invests more than £20 million of National Lottery and government money. Sport England will decide which projects to prioritise due to the significant number of applications they receive.

The priority is to invest in projects that support their organisation goals outlined in their Uniting The Movement Strategy.
