Aim

We have had to replace all ditches and banks on our bowling green due to deterioration. Its is a large investment which we need your support

We are small village bowling club with around 40 playing members from the ages of 9 up to 90. Formed in the late 1980's to provide the residents of Stanton with a bowling club. A small group of villagers built the green along with a donation of a used chicken shed we had a club house. This has since been extended but the original shed is still part of the foundation. The bowling green is the one of the best in Suffolk with us hosting many County finals and Suffolk's County Adams team.

The renovation project is needed for us to continue playing. Access on and off the green is becoming difficult for our older and younger members due to the current state. It will ensure that we can continue for many years without the need for repair which is becoming more apparent each year. 

We want to make the game of bowls accessible for everyone. The project will allow us to promote our Rising star's academy to bring younger bowlers to the sport. We are planning for after school clubs next year along with Summer holiday camps. Currently we don't have many sporting clubs offering this service in our village.

This will also allow us to promote bowls for the disabled with the improved access to the green. We can be the first bowls club to have access for the disabled in our area. A recent survey found that no club within 25 miles advertised as being suitable for the disabled. 

Part of the project is to install suitable access ramps to ensure safety on and off the bowls green. 

We have a very small team of volunteers who will be delivering the project. They have given up there time to ensure that we deliver this on time and within budget. We were quoted around £30000 to have this completed  by a contractor but we don't have those funds available so have had to raise this ourselves. This is the largest investment our club has made and need as much support as possible.
