Mickey Zoggs

Secured a grassroots music hub in Bristol for generations to come

Given an ultimatum, buy the pub or get out, this was a chance to keep one of Bristol's third spaces within the hands of the community and remain a place for the people.

Raised: £75,166

The Railway Inn

Saved the Railway Inn as a community hub and music venue.

In less than a week, the campaign raised the initial £35,000 target, going on to eventually raise over £40,000. Saving Winchester’s only grassroots music venue for generations to come.

The New Jazz Bar

Reopening one of Edinburgh's most beloved live music venues.

After being forced to close, The Jazz Bar turned to the crowd to help bring it back to life. After raising over £40,000, they can bring music back to this incredible venue and its special community.

St Neots Festival

Keeping the flame alive for the future of St Neots Festival.

Delivered by a group of volunteers, brought together through a wide range of local businesses and community organisations, they successfully raised funds to cover costs of setting up.

Another Fine Fest

The world record-breaking, free, multi-arts, family-friendly festival.

With rising costs across the board, many grassroots festivals in the UK have closed in recent years. Another Fine Fest turned to crowdfunding, raising funds to return for their 10 year anniversary in 2024.

A crowdfunding campaign bigger than just a single day.

Margate Pride's crowdfunding campaign isn’t just about a single event, it is about the future of an inclusive Margate. It is about keeping Pride free, community-led and defiant.

MOOSHI

A story of a boy and the deadly crimes of border patrol.

A gut-wrenching yet heart-felt short 30 minute film through a young boy’s eyes - bubbling over with eagerness to get a pet bird. He first needs to traverse the vicious border of Europe with his family.

The simple system that could end fuel poverty and help decarbonise Britain.

Behind the scenes filming, documenting the journey of working towards the release of a feature documentary film. Part of the ambitious POWER STATION project series on Crowdfunder.

Doc Rowe

Saving Doc Rowe’s precious archive of British folk traditions.

Project owner Rob Curry, along with his filmmaking partner Tim Plester are archiving Doc Rowe's audiovisual treasures, showcasing traditional British customs, rituals, and folk music.

A crowdfunding campaign and a call to arms to help Porter's carry on.

A campaign to raise £47,000 and allow Porter’s to continue to be what it is for generations to come – a welcoming, safe, and brave place for artists and lovers of art, and all the good things in life.

Astor Theatre

Thriving as a focus for culture and community events.

With rising energy and supply costs stretching resources, The Astor turned to crowdfunding in their quest to be the main community venue for entertainment, performance and socialising.

Jamaica Street Studios is a well-known studio in Bristol; a community to artists with high-quality practices for over 30 years. A group of whom were looking to buy, and bring them into community ownership.

Climate action through art, food, and sustainable community spaces.

Raising funds to champion innovative artistic practices and progressive business models that prioritise people over profit. With a commitment to serve both the artist community and the local areas.

Josienne Clarke

Seeking a little help to bring a creative vision to life.

With 13 brand new original songs ready to make an album, Album 12, Josienne had a recording plan, a title, a running order and a design for CD and Vinyl records. But not the money to bring it all to life.

An ambitious new work for a choir and string orchestra.

To celebrate their 15th anniversary in 2027 with a concert performing their biggest and most ambitious commission to date, the choir appealed to their community to help fund the celebration.

After a brain tumour diagnosis, musician Ian Stephenson wanted to make a book of his tunes, something he'd always been intending to do, but now had added impetus to make it happen.
