Josienne Clarke Album 12

I’m Josienne Clarke, the voice of a haunted angel, a BBC award winning singer/songwriter based on the Isle of Bute, Scotland. Critically acclaimed but hardly a household name. I’ve been a professional touring musician for over 12 years and a committed harbinger of beautiful melancholy!

Having made 11 albums in my decade plus time as a professional singer/songwriter, I'm extremely comfortable with the process of taking some tiny ideas and transforming them into a 35-45 minute sonic journey through an immersive emotional landscape.

I've written 13 brand new original songs and I'm ready to make an album, Album 12. I have a recording plan, a title, a running order and a design for gorgeous CD and 12" Vinyl records. But these things, even at the most modest level, cost money...

The making of the album will be filmed and a 'making of' documentary will be created by Alec Bowman_Clarke.

As always, I already know what I want to do creatively, but I'm going to need some help this time to bring my creative vision to life. 

I am an entirely independent artist and in 2019 I created my own bespoke label - Corduroy Punk Records, through which I now release all my music. It's very expensive to make a record these days and because I'm not from inherited wealth and though I do other work outside of music, the state of the industry is such that without your kindness and support, my beloved fans, I would have to quit music altogether (yes music really has become that seriously unprofitable for artists)

• Private listening party -  You can attend a pre-release listen through of the full album with artist's commentary -  £75
• A one to one online songwriting session (approx 1hr) - this can take the form of your choice, a chat about songwriting, working on your own songs, learning one of mine, general songwriting craft and career advice - £250
• A one to one online singing session (approx 1hr) - this can take the form of your choice, a chat about singing techniques and repertoire, work on your own singing, general singing craft and career advice - £300
• Producer - your choice of signed album format & your name in the credit roll of the documentary - £250
• Executive Producer – your choice of album format, named as an executive producer in the documentary credits & you’ll be invited to watch the soundcheck then meet & greet at the London launch show (dates & times tbc, travel costs not included)- £500

Ensuring that the album gets made and people get to hear it, recording of the album in Scotland with my friend and favourite Scottish Engineer/producer, Murray Collier, cover design, manufacturing, distribution and PR costs. 

Everyone involved in that process will be paid fairly and that's as it should be but in this skinny budget there'll be nothing for me and that's fine, I just want the music I composed to be heard and enjoyed by as many ears as possible!
