CHILD BRAIN INJURY TRUST

RCN 1113326, Bicester

The Child Brain Injury Trust was established by a group of health professionals in 1991 to research and provide information regarding the effects of ‘traumatic’ injury on a child’s developing brain. Today the Child Brain Injury Trust is the leading voluntary sector organisation providing emotional and practical support, information and learning opportunities for families and professionals affected by childhood acquired brain injury across the UK. We work across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and have a dedicated team of professional staff and volunteers who give their expertise, commitment and energy every day.

Every half an hour in the UK, a child or young person will acquire a brain injury. The Child Brain Injury Trust provides vital support, information and training to anyone affected by this devastating and life changing condition.

Together with our generous supporters we are striving for a future where all children and young people with an acquired brain injury are diagnosed promptly and receive the support they and their families need to reach their full potential and to have the best quality of life possible.

This year, we received no funding from the Government to help pay for our vital support services. We need your help right now to ensure no one faces childhood acquired brain injury alone.

£30 pays for 1 hour of an ABI Coordinators time in hospital or the community.

£50 pays for the delivery of an awareness session for a family or professional.

£125 pays for one of our 'Give A Child A Chance' family grants.
