Aim

Please help Moore Barlow LLP to support the latest campaign by the Child Brain Injury Trust - Every Child, Every Family.

1705933798_team_photo.jpgMoore Barlow LLP are happy to be supporting The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) with their Every child, every family campaign which will help CBIT to continue to provide support and rebuild lives following a brain injury.

In order to support the Child Brain Injury Trust’s ‘Every Child Every Family’ campaign, a team of volunteers from our Serious Injury, Major Trauma, and Clinical Negligence teams, endeavoured to complete 1,500 kilometres in varying different forms of exercise including walking, running, cycling and swimming. We set out to complete this challenge over a two-week period from Sunday 21 January until Sunday 4 February 2024.

****Update: We are very pleased to report that we have achieved our target and have completed 1993km over this period!

There is still time left to support us! Any donation you can afford to make will help support CBIT’s invaluable work.

Why is this so important?

Over 40,000 children are affected by an acquired brain injury (ABI) each year, and this is the leading cause of disability in childhood. A brain injury may occur as a result of an accident, such as a fall or road traffic accident or may occur as a result of an illness, such as, stroke.

Suffering a brain injury is life changing and devastating for the whole family. Symptoms can vary in each child but can include difficulties with behaviour, social interactions, memory, concentration, sleep, chronic pain and fatigue as well as impacting the child’s mental health, emotional wellbeing and their education.

CBIT can help with early intervention as they have ABI Coordinators dedicated to providing support to families across the country.

The ABI coordinators can help to offer practical support, such as, help accessing legal and financial advice, mental health support and much more. They enable parents and carers to advocate for their child in all aspects of their life.

This latest campaign by CBIT is aiming to provide more than 5000 hours of community support to the children and families affected by brain injuries.
