We're still collecting donations

Welcome to The Black Art Hub CIC! We're a new and passionate organisation dedicated to celebrating and advancing Black British visual art and poetry. Our mission is to create a vibrant, inclusive arts community through academic research, creative development, and engaging exhibitions and networking opportunities.
the Black Art Hub explores lived experiences, social concepts and political agendas through Black aesthetics, intersectionality, and the ethics of technology, enriching grassroots artists and poets with in-depth knowledge and resources, whilst also engaging with our local community.
Representation in the arts is vital for fostering understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures. We aim to provide a welcoming space where accurate information about Black culture, arts, and literature is accessible to all. To build a robust and diverse resource library, we’re inviting donations of second-hand books. This will not only enhance our library but also help prevent valuable books from ending up in landfills.
While we’ve received partial funding from Arts Council England, which we are appreciative of, we are still seeking to raise £20,000 to make our inaugural exhibition a success and to establish our library. This includes £5,000 for the exhibition and £15,000 to secure and equip our space. All funds will directly support these projects, as we rely on the dedication of our volunteers.
Your support will help us provide valuable resources, foster creative growth, and celebrate heritage and diversity in the arts. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and create a welcoming space for everyone. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
