Our new campaign, Abolish Billionaires, is calling for an end to the wealth of billionaires, demanding that this money is redirected towards urgently needed climate action.
Right now, super-rich oligarchs are hoarding extreme wealth, fanning the flames of climate collapse with their lavish lifestyles, and exploiting people and the planet for profit. They then rig the political system in their favour by buying up the media and bankrolling politicians.
The result is a world in crisis. While the super-rich guzzle champagne on their private jets, California burns, Pakistan floods, and billions of people are trapped in grinding poverty.
We urgently need to tax the super-rich out of existence, redistribute their wealth globally, and spend their ill-gotten money on preventing climate collapse.
Climate justice can only be achieved by dismantling the systems of oppression that are driving intersecting environmental, social, and economic crises. We target the elites - the ultra-wealthy, the powerful corporations and financiers, and the corrupt politicians - that are profiting from these systems of oppression and causing climate breakdown.
We are an entirely volunteer-run organisation, and we need your help in order to run the most impactful campaign possible. Funds raised will be used for action materials, training campaigners, hiring spaces in which to meet and having an Access Fund for those on low incomes to attend our protests and meetings.
The only way we can take on the unchecked power of the super-rich fuelling the climate crisis is through ordinary people coming together to demand a more equal world.
