This autumn, a new cast takes over the 7 times Olivier Award winning PADDINGTON The Musical at the Savoy Theatre.
Before they perform to the public, the production is allowing access to a limited audience to watch a dress rehearsal, in support of the Institute of Imagination.
And you could be part of it.
Enter the prize draw for the chance to win two tickets, seated in the Grand Circle, for you and a guest to watch this exclusive dress rehearsal. Every entry raises money for the Institute of Imagination.
The set will be ready. The orchestra will be in place. The costumes will be on. And the Grand Circle will be filled with people seeing the new cast perform PADDINGTON The Musical for the very first time, before the public.
It is a working rehearsal, which is what makes it so special. The show may pause, a scene may be run again, and then the performance will continue. You will not simply be watching a finished production; you will be the first audience the new cast has performed in front of.
There are 130 prizes, so 130 winners. Each winner will receive:
- 2 tickets seated in the Grand Circle of the Savoy Theatre to the final dress rehearsal of the new cast on 28th October at 1:30pm (final time to be confirmed)
The running time is about 2 hours 45 minutes including an interval, to be confirmed. It is a working rehearsal, after all.
PADDINGTON The Musical opened at the Savoy Theatre in November 2025. It has since won 7 Olivier Awards, 9 WhatsOnStage Awards and Best New Musical at the Critics' Circle Theatre Awards. With best availability currently for performances in 2027.
The Guardian said it "will fill you with joy and melt your heart", while the Standard called it "the most wonderful theatrical creation in years".
At its heart, Paddington is a story about welcome: a small bear arrives at a railway station with a label around his neck and nowhere to go, until a family takes him in.
This autumn, a new cast will become part of that family, and you could be among the first people to welcome them.
When a small, lost bear from Peru arrives in London in search of a new home, a chance encounter with the Brown family leads him to the wonderful world of Windsor Gardens.
But London isn’t all afternoon teas and friendly faces – and even the happiest families have their cracks beneath the surface. So when a mysterious and vengeful villain sets her sights on Paddington, the Browns embark on a thrilling rescue mission, realising they need this special bear as much as he needs them.
Packed with show-stopping songs, dazzling choreography, mishaps and mayhem at every turn – and of course, marmalade sandwiches – PADDINGTON The Musical is based on the iconic characters from Michael Bond’s books, with a story inspired by the award-winning 2014 film.
Directed by Luke Sheppard, with original music and lyrics by Tom Fletcher, and book by Jessica Swale.
Good to know. The age guidance is 6+, and children need to be able to stay in their own seat for the whole rehearsal. For content guidance, please contact the Savoy Theatre box office. There is no step free access to the Grand Circle and no wheelchair spaces available.
The seats have been generously gifted by Sonia Friedman Productions and Eliza Lumley Productions in support of the Institute of Imagination. They have chosen to open a rehearsal that would never normally be on sale, giving Paddington fans a unique experience while raising money for the Institute of Imagination.
The Institute of Imagination is a children's charity that gives children, particularly those facing disadvantage, the opportunity to develop their imagination, creativity and agency through play, making and creative learning.
Every entry will help more children discover the power of their imaginations and the confidence to shape their own futures.

Every extra entry is another chance in the draw and a bigger donation. All seats are in the Grand Circle, so more entries never mean better seats, and it is one prize of 2 tickets per person only, however many entries you hold.
When does it close?
9pm on Sunday 11th October. Winners are drawn on Monday 12th October and hear by email the same day, with 3 days to claim.
How do I get my tickets?
The theatre box office emails your 2 e-tickets to you a couple of days before the rehearsal. Show the QR codes on your phone at the door. You don't need to give us your guest's name. The tickets cannot be transferred or sold.
What is it like on the day?
It is a working rehearsal, so the production team will be in the room, with a photographer at work in the stalls. The bar, toilets and merchandise kiosk will be open as usual, all reached by steps. No photography or filming is allowed during the rehearsal.
Who can enter?
Anyone aged 18 or over and resident in the UK.
Can I bring a child as my guest?
Yes, if they are 6 or over and able to stay in their own seat for the whole rehearsal.
What if I cannot make the date?
The tickets are for the dress rehearsal on 28th October only. There is no alternative date and no cash alternative, so please only enter if you could be there.
Could the rehearsal change?
It is a working rehearsal, so it may stop and start on the day, and in rare cases the production may need to move or cancel it. If the date moves, your tickets move with it; we cannot offer another date or a refund if you cannot make the new one. If it is cancelled, there is no substitute prize. Winners will be told as soon as we know.
Is the seating step free?
There is no step free access to the Grand Circle and no wheelchair spaces available. The Savoy Theatre has access seating for public performances, bookable through the production box office.
Is there a free way to enter?
Yes. Send a postcard with your full name, address, email, date of birth and the words "Prize Draw Entry" to Institute of Imagination, School 360, Sugar House Lane, London, E15 2QS, to arrive before the closing date. One entry per postcard, as many postcards as you like, each with the same chance as a paid entry.
