Diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety disorder and on very low income, I am a sold trader looking for funding for my art business

In 2020 I lost my job due to Covid, and despite my poor mental health at the time I was able to get another job fairly quickly. Unfortunately, my mental health declined even further and after twelve months I was forced to quit in early 2022. I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder, and since then I have been in the Support Group with the ESA and receive payments from them, and am unable to work more than part time hours or less. With the support of friends and family I started drawing and painting again, something I hadn't done in a long time. After a while it became apparent that I could actually sell my work, and if so I could also maybe work for myself, at my own pace and not face the difficulties I had in my previous job. In 2024 I was diagnosed with ADHD, and I am also perimenopausal, all of which creates a perfect storm of anxiety, ADHD symptoms and fatigue.

I live with my elderly parents, and my bedroom is small so I have no space at home to work unless it's very small scale. I have managed to find a small studio space, partly paid for by my brother, and that is my biggest expense but may need to move soon. I take part in some art fairs, and hope to be able to grow my business further so over time be able to sell my art work online as well. In order to grow however, I need funds and there are no grants available, and due to my ADHD my financial record is not good enough to qualify for a business loan. I have looked for a relaxed part time or casual job nearby to make extra money, but sadly there is very little out there that is suitable near where I live.

I need funds to help with the cost of the studio, materials, and printing my art work in bulk so I can actually sell to shops and also online. At the moment I can only afford to print in small amounts here and there, meaning I get very little profit. It would also be useful to have my own art printer so I can print my own work to a professional standard. A second hand printer would be enough. The studio, the printer, the materials, it all costs money I can't afford to pay all the time.

My artwork is in watercolour, and I paint tree landscapes, as well as wildflowers. I am a huge advocate for wildlife, trees and nature and want to promote the beauty of our countryside that is in danger everyday.

My ambition is to one day provide art work for the charities that help the wildlife and nature of the UK, and to illustrate books for children to celebrate the nature they should be able to enjoy growing up.

Please can you help my little business grow? Any amount would help.
