Your support makes a difference
Aim: Bringing a derelict kitchen to life to serve healthy meals to those in need—because everyone deserves nourishment and dignity.
I’m Bea—a single mum, community builder, and founder of BWB The Collective CIC in Leicestershire. After overcoming trauma, injury, and burnout, I made it my mission to create spaces that nourish people from the inside out. Spaces where people feel seen, supported, and fed—emotionally and literally.
Alongside a growing team of volunteers, local practitioners, and changemakers, we’re breathing life into a derelict kitchen with one goal: to cook healthy, affordable meals for those who need them most—be it single parents, isolated elders, or those struggling silently with their mental health.
The space itself is being renovated through founder funding gifted time, and local trades kindly offering their skills, the bones of the kitchen are being lovingly restored. But now, we need to equip it—because without working appliances, tools, and stock, we can’t cook a single meal.
Here’s how your donations will help us turn bricks and mortar into nourishment and hope:
Tables and chairs to make the space comfortable for those in need
Worktops, storage, and safety equipment to meet hygiene standards and enable volunteer support
Cookware, trays, utensils, and dinnerware so we can serve meals with care and dignity
Food-safe containers and sustainable packaging for those who can’t dine in and need meals delivered to their door
A community pay-it-forward scheme, helping ensure anyone who’s struggling can still receive a meal without shame is in place ready for the launch of the kitchen.
Every penny we raise goes directly into making this space functional, safe, and welcoming. But more than that—every donation helps create a kitchen that gives back endlessly. One that feeds bellies and restores dignity. One where no one is turned away, and where kindness is always on the menu.
We’re not just building a kitchen. We’re building a lifeline.
