AGE UK LANCASHIRE

RCN 1142294, Ormskirk

We aim to make a positive difference to the lives of all older people in Lancashire, to make later life a more fulfilling and enjoyable experience. We provide effective services to meet locally identified needs; develop and promote well-being initiatives to help people lead healthy, active lives; ensure older people are fully informed so that they have choice and control to live independantly.

Who we are

We are a county-wide charity working with and for older people. We believe that later life should be valued and fulfilling. Through the services and support we provide, we aim to promote independence, enhance health and well-being and enable older people to access the information they need to make informed decisions about their lives.

Age is different for everyone and, of course, the challenges and the demands are different for everyone, too. At Age UK Lancashire, we are many things to many people – a source of advice, information, companionship and support, among many other things.

What have we acheived?

In 2024/2025 we responded to over 33,000 calls, helped to claim £2.3m in benefits for older residents, made over 6000 calls to those who were isolated or lonley and helped over 1800 people with advice around scams and raising awareness. Read the report here.

What does your support mean?

Supporting Age UK Lancashire is a powerful way to make a difference in your local community. Your help enables us to reach more older people and those who care for them. As Lancashire’s population continues to grow, the need for our services will only increase. By supporting us today, you’re ensuring we can continue to be there for those who rely on us—now and in the future.

The difference between Age UK Lancashire and Age UK

We are a local charity based in Lancashire, we are a network partner of the national Age UK, but we are a seperate charity. All funds raised in Lancashire, stay in Lancashire.
