0SGS has between 25-30 dogs in our kennels and foster homes at any one time. Our foster homes are scattered across Scotland and we rehome dogs the length and breadth of the UK. SGS Dogs are matched carefully with new homes and a lifelong follow up service is offered. We proactively check in with new adopters to see how they're doing. We offer ongoing advice and support where difficulties arise - as can happen with any new dog in a family home. We also offer a 'helping hand' to those who have previous adopted from SGS and have fallen on hard times.
With ever rising energy and food prices the future is worrying for everyone just now. As a charity with no mainstream or government funding the SGS Team is worried too. If the media predictions are correct, then heating the kennels alone will soon cost twice as much as it does now. Food, transport, vet bills... these will all rise too.
We know times are tough. We know not a lot of people have much to share. A donation of as little as £5 a month goes a huge way to paying the overheads, which remember doesn't include any staffing costs as the charity is run entirely by volunteers! Any support would be hugely appreciated.
