Many greyhounds who have retired from racing have a long wait to get into a home of their own.
They may need medical care or have behavioural problems and they aren't used to houses having been brought up in kennels.
SGS provide this care and food and take them for walks with no government funding provided. When they are ready they are brought into foster homes by kind volunteers until they are ready to be re-homed.
SGS supports this whole process which makes their work important.
I will be doing a sponsored (approx 4-5 miles) walk on Sunday 20th October in my local village of Benderloch wearing my own SGS inspired t-shirt!
