In 2023–24 season, Richmond Park FC Women's team provided opportunities for 40 females ages 16 to 50 to play matches at Tier 6 and the Women's FA Cup. More than 100 women and girls benefitted from twice-weekly training sessions.
Richmond Park FC is an FA Accredited Club and Nike Partner Club based in the Kingston and Richmond area of Greater London. In 2022 we were the Royal Borough of Kingston Club of the Year.
We are a club where everyone works together as a family, a community. We believe in developing players to achieve their best. We have created a clear pathway for youth footballers into Tier 6 of the women's game.
Our U18s youth team won leagues and cups to get us to women's football at Tier 6. In the 2021–22 season, we gained promotion to Tier 6 with a 100% win record.
In May 2024, we agreed to partner with a men's football club to support our women to play football at Tier 6 and in the Women's FA Cup. In June, the men's club unexpectedly received a huge water bill and withdrew their support for a women's team. We now need to find the money for the team to compete in the 2024–25 season
It has taken 10 years of hard work to get here.
Today, the women's team stands on the brink. We need your support to survive.
Your donation will help us pay for the kit, training, matchday facilities, referee fees, and other associated costs of running a Tier 6 women's team. It will support the team throughout the season.
Here's a breakdown of the costs involved
1. Training venue: £240 x 36 = £8640
2. Match venue: £150 x 15 = £2250
3. Coaching support: £60 x 50 = £3000
4. Referee fees: £50 x 15 = £750
5. Kit: £1000
Total: £15,000
We are a community-based football club, reliant on our volunteers and supporters. Our women's team had more than 40 players playing matches last season, from age 16 to 50. It also provided opportunities for even more women to train twice weekly and for our 16-year-old youth players to train with the First Team. These play opportunities are important for physical and mental health.
We have excellent relationships with local schools, other football and sports clubs, and local councils.
Our development ethos has seen our youth players progress into the women's team, get sports scholarships at universities in the UK and abroad, get professional contracts, and play girls' academy football.
Between 50 and 1000 supporters attend our league and FA Cup games. Brentford Women's match in the GTech in our league attracted a crowd of more than 15,000.
