URGENT APPEAL - Moroccan Children's Trust

Moroccan Children's Trust has been working hard for over a decade to protect some of the most vulnerable children in Morocco. The current economic situation has meant we are not able to access readily availlable funding streams and we are faced with a challenging year ahead and we need your help today!

We work hand in hand with our Moroccan partner, La Fondation Amane pour La Protection de l’Enfance, to ensure that no child falls through the cracks of the country's very fragmented child protection system. 

Did you know that Morocco actually has one of the highest rates of children living in residential centres in the world? 

These children are not orphans though! One of the main reasons why they end up in institutions is because their caregivers, single mothers oftentimes, struggle to provide for them due to the lack of social safety nets. 

This is why our work of providing holistic social work services and bridging the gap between community members and service providers is key to keeping families together.

Unfortunately, over the years, we have struggled to secure funding from foundations due to the nature of our work. Social work isn’t the kind of work that provides immediate deliverables. Yet, its impact is incredible and tangible on the families that we serve. We invite you to read more about our impact in our latest annual report.
