MCT is working with our local partner FAPE to deliver urgent identified needs to our community in Taroudant affected by the earthquake.

The recent earthquake disaster in Morocco left residents in the town of Taroudant and the province of Taroudant without basic needs of food, water, clothing, and safe shelter. MCT is working with its long-time local partner based in Taroudant, Fondation Amane pour la Protection de l'Enfance (FAPE), to identify urgent needs among its community - some of the already most vulnerable families and children whom we serve through our work at Centre Amane.
The team took 24 hours to assess the impact of the earthquake in the town and province of Taroudant and to understand what the government is able to cover. We have identified urgent needs for which we need YOUR help to deliver:
Immediate term: Families are fearful and staying in the streets for safer shelter as homes are damaged and/or vulnerable to aftershocks
Medium term: Centre Amane expects to receive referrals from residents of nearby villages who are coming into the town of Taroudant

Please NOTE: Local government authorities and rescue teams are the only ones able to access the most devastated communities in the remote mountain area. We are operating separately as a non-governmental organization, focused on providing immediate and medium-term support to residents just outside the town of Taroudant in the mountain areas of the province of Taroudant.
Funds raised will go towards immediate and long-term relief efforts in the province of Taroudant. If you have any questions about the support needed, both immediate and medium term, please contact us: [email protected]
