Now heading into our 6th year, our little gem of a festival has sadly (like many others) came so close to disappearing from the annual event calendar in recent years. We were only saved by the incredible support we received during our 2018 festival Crowdfunder campaign and we are eternally grateful for that! However, the battle to sustain Lindisfarne Festival is far from over...

2019 has been another tough year on the UK festival circuit - with multiple events being forced to pull the plug due to lack of sales & resources and increasingly high competition for funding.

In previous years, we have been blessed to receive some financial support from Arts Council England, which has provided our independent festival with a welcome cash injection to cover a small percentage of the escalating event production and artist costs.

Despite multiple applications made throughout 2019, we were sadly unsuccessful in obtaining some much needed funding to support Lindisfarne Festival 2019 and therefore have had to shoulder the financial stress alone (with a little help from our much loved partners, local business sponsors and of course our wonderful ticket buyers).

Putting on a festival of this nature unfortunately never gets easier. Every week, every month, every year is a new challenge. We jump one hurdle only to encounter another. These hurdles may at times slow us down, but we are determined to do everything in our power to NEVER let them stop us. Unfortunately, our power alone may not be enough to keep the festival going for another year. We need the continuous and united power of the people! We need YOUR power and your support to make LF2020 a reality!

Whilst as a young independent festival we are on one hand thriving, on the other hand we are merely surviving year to year. Crowdfunding is therefore the only way we can foresee the return of Lindisfarne Festival in 2020, as without a significant amount of cash to invest from the outset and with no major outside funding, we rely 100% on early ticket sales in order to secure our lineup and invest in the necessary infrastructure to bring the festival to life.

The past 5 years have seen Lindisfarne Festival grow from strength to strength. This year's event was mindblowingly spectacular and we are bursting with excitement at the thought of returning to the Northumberland shores for another unforgettable weekend in 2020. However, WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU! So, we ask you to please pledge your support by buying a ticket to come join us at Lindisfarne Festival next summer... Together we can make it happen and it will be AMAZING!

About the festival...

The ultimate end-of-summer party on the the spectacular Northumberland coast - overlooking Holy Island - Lindisfarne Festival is a small festival on a BIG mission! A mission to create and sustain the most incredible yet affordable music, arts & wellness festival in the whole of the UK! A mission to bring together people from all walks of life for a weekend of pure unadulterated fun in a truly spectacular location. A mission to shine a spotlight on talent, support those in need, encourage exploration of the extraordinary and celebrate some of life’s greatest treasures: music, art, nature and above all else - people! 

We all spend so much time buried in our every day lives - consumed by work and family obligations, distracted by goals and responsibilities, burdened by problems and the pressure of modern society. It's a somewhat inevitable part of adult life, but that doesn’t mean we can’t break free... 

Providing a wonderful hedonistic escape from reality, Lindisfarne Festival is a place where you can shed all responsibility and revert to that care-free, childlike state of being. For one weekend of the year, forget all of your troubles, disconnect from the stresses and strains of every day life and focus on nothing but having an absolutely amazing time with the amazing people around you.

Lose yourself, find yourself - do whatever you want to do. Immerse yourself in great music and entertainment, surrounded by the best bunch of people and breath-taking scenery.

Every year we vow to take things up a level in terms of the event programming, the site design and of course our lineup and every year we deliver! 2020 will be no exception, as we plan to make it our best festival to date!

The UK's best-kept-secret festival location - overlooking Holy Island in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the North East coastline. (Less than an hour away from Edinburgh & Newcastle!)

Renowned for our eclectic range of performers - from Thursday evening through to the early hours of Sunday, our 10 unique music venues will once again play host to another incredible variety of both local and world renowned talent. With over 200 acts, spanning almost every imaginable genre - the only problem you'll have is deciding who to go and see next!

How exactly does the crowdfunding work?

If you pledge money to us for a festival ticket or other reward, and if enough people do the same throughout October, we will reach our fundraising target! At the end of our campaign (on 31st October) your pledges will then transferred to us from Crowdfunder and Lindisfarne Festival 2020 will be full speed ahead and on track for it's BEST year yet. Woo hoo!

What happens if I pledge but the event doesn't go ahead?

Let's be honest... after the absolutely incredible weekend we just had at Beal Farm a month ago and all of your amazingly kind words and praise for the event, the chances of us calling it a day are slim as we're going to do everything possible to ensure we reach the Crowdfunder target. Of course, in the very highly unlikely event the festival is cancelled your pledge will be fully refunded, meaning it's a risk-free win-win for you. Hooray!
