Crowdfunding Update

We are contacting you as you have previously donated in support of Foxie's Future's project to try to save Foxlease - thank you!

As you may be aware from our other media channels, we are now at the stage where after further significant fundraising, we have submitted a Bid to Girlguiding UK to purchase both "Lots" of the Foxlease site.  This became necessary based on the feedback which we received on our bid submitted in Round 1 of the bidding process.  Please visit our Facebook Group for further information on how we got from there to here.

Although our Round 2 bid was submitted 6 weeks ago now, unfortunately we still have no update on a decision to share with you, but we have been asked to provide some additional information in support of our bid, including some detailed information regarding proof of funding.  This means that if you have pledged, donated or supported us via our Community Loan Scheme we may be contacting you to request further documents.  If you do not hear from us then that means that we do not need anything further from you at this time, but please do check your spam/junk email folders over the coming days.

We have to submit the additional information by Monday so we do need to ask that you move quickly for us if things are outstanding. Part of our additional information to be provided on Monday will include a funding update so we need to be in the strongest (and documented) position possible by then.

To support our Round 2 bid, we launched a Community Loan Scheme, through which we have now funded over £1 million. If you were not previously aware of this and are able to support us via our Community Loan Scheme by loaning £1,000 or more for 12 months, or if you have loaned and are able to loan more, then please contact us as soon as possible via [email protected] so that we can get that documented in advance of Monday.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we approach this (hopefully) final hurdle to the finish.

Bid Update

Bid update

You may have seen our recent, short but important update on our bid shared across our social media channels. In case you have not, the update message is:-

"We so appreciate your ongoing support and fundraising for us. We're not in a position to share with you further information at the moment; however, we have received unexpected and positive news which we will share as and when we can."

Our huge thanks to you all for your fundraising and ongoing support.

Fundraising

We continue to receive further donations, pledge payments from those who pledged previously and individuals lending to us via our community loan scheme on a daily basis! Our Trustees have taken the decision to treat all donations received since the initial preferred bidder announcement as contingent, which means that they will be returned if we are ultimately unsuccessful. Any forms of donation which were previously contingent in nature will remain so, but we hope that this decision allows people to continue their efforts for us in the meantime.
