Get Set 4 Tennis CIC is more than just a tennis club — we are a community that believes tennis should be accessible to everyone.

We work with some of the most marginalised people in our community, creating opportunities for children, young people and adults to stay active, build confidence and feel included. A big part of our work focuses on supporting players with disabilities and additional needs, ensuring they have a safe and welcoming space to enjoy tennis. We are an award wining venue and teach over 1100 people per week

Through inclusive sessions, SEND groups, and specialised pathways, we help players of all abilities experience the physical, social and mental health benefits of sport.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are raising funds to help people stay active and supported during some of the most challenging years of their lives.

Many of our players aged 11–16 face increasing pressures from school, exams and mental health challenges, which can often lead to young people dropping out of sport. We want to ensure they have a positive outlet where they can stay active, socialise and protect their wellbeing.

We are also launching a new Learning Disability (LD) pathway, designed to help children with additional needs progress into tennis competitions and tournaments — opportunities that are often difficult for them to access.

This year we will launch a Dementia Friendly session for local people and carers to enjoy.

Alongside this, the funds will help us continue running our SEND sessions, Girls Only Sessions and inclusive community programmes, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to play regardless of ability or background.

To keep delivering these vital programmes, we also need support with equipment, court resources and the general running costs of the club.

We work closely with many educational needs schools in the local area, including Meadow High School, Grand Union, Pentland and Pield Heath House School to name a —as part of our inclusive programme delivery.  ensuring that children, young people and families who may face barriers to participation are directly invited to access our sessions.

Alongside this, we plan to launch a dementia tennis programme, with plans to further develop and expand this offer across the Uxbridge community. We are building partnerships with local dementia support groups and community organisations to help make these sessions accessible, welcoming and impactful for local residents.

Through targeted outreach, local partnerships and community-based promotion, we aim to ensure that people of all ages and abilities across, Maple Cross, Uxbridge and surrounding communities can benefit from inclusive, affordable opportunities to be active, social and connected through tennis.
