About this fund

The funding partner is Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I (SBF GB&I).

The Together for Good: SBF GB&I Community Fund supports community projects delivering positive social and/or environmental impacts in and around the Forest of Dean and Uxbridge (see below for detailed funding map).

You need a crowdfunding project to apply for funding. Start or continue adding your project and, if eligible, you'll be prompted to apply.

Eligibility criteria

Projects are eligible to be funded if they help bring to life the Suntory purpose, "Inspiring the brilliance of life, by creating rich experiences for people in harmony with nature."

Example projects include those which:

Help improve public spaces and build community connections

Support sporting clubs and initiatives

Support local arts and culture

Deliver local environmental improvement

Eligible organisations

To be eligible to apply your organisation must be:

Not-for-profit (including charities, Community Interest Companies, Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC) and other registered not-for-profits)

Delivering benefits in the Forest of Dean or Uxbridge, and their surrounding areas (see detailed funding map below)

Have a bank account in the name of the organisation and provide a bank statement evidencing this

In 2026 the Fund is only eligible for causes delivering positive impact in the areas surrounding Suntory's operations in Coleford / Forest of Dean, and Uxbridge. Below is a detailed map of where funding will be eligible.

Projects based outside the eligible catchment area may still be eligible for funding if they clearly benefit communities within the catchment. If your organisation is based outside the catchment area but delivers services, activities or positive outcomes for people living within it, please explain how your project will benefit eligible communities. Where possible, include evidence such as previous delivery in the area, existing partnerships with local organisations, anticipated beneficiary numbers, or other examples that demonstrate your local impact.

Who we can't support

The following organisations are not eligible:

For-profit organisations

Individuals and sole traders

Projects that can promote specific political views/parties

Organisations seeking to distribute grants on our behalf

Applications for the benefit of one individual

Match funding criteria

The following criteria applies to match funding:

a) All Pledges made by supporters will be matched pound for pound up to £250. This means that if a Project receives a Pledge of £50, SBF GB&I will donate £50. If a Project receives a Pledge of £500, SBF GB&I will donate £250.

b) The maximum live match funding a Project can receive from SBF GB&I is the lower of £10,000 or 50% of your target.

c) Live match funding will be given on the first pledge made to a Project by a supporter.

d) Projects must reach their fundraising target by the end of their fundraising period to receive live match funding, however, this fundraising period may be extended if targets have not been met. A project may request for money raised during this extension period to be match funded, at the discretion of the Fund. While this extension is often granted, requests for repeat extensions will require clear rationale.
If a project does not reach 100% of its fundraising target by the end of its fundraising deadline, the live match funding will be cancelled.

e) Pledges will not be matched where a project is “always on”.

f) Your project must receive pledges from at least 25 unique backers*.

*To verify whether Supporters are unique we will take account of information including, but not limited to: name, address, email addresses and payment card used.

g) The following Pledges will not be matched:

i) Pledges made before a Project is accepted to participate in the Fund or after a Project’s initial fundraising period ends.

ii) Second (2nd) and any subsequent (3rd, 4th, etc) pledges to the same Project by the same supporter.

iii) Pledges made by Organisations to their own Projects.

iv) Pledges made after the project's fundraising deadline.

h) The live match fund will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Being approved for match funding does not guarantee you will receive any live match funding.

i) Live match funds will count towards your Project’s target.

Additional conditions

Following approval for funding, if you wish to make any changes to your campaign target, or any significant changes to your rewards or other page content you must notify us.

All projects that meet the criteria set out above will be assessed to determine which projects will be selected for the fund. Project owners will be notified whether their application has been successful or not. The offer of match funding will be valid for 8 (eight) weeks after the date of notification, if you do not launch your crowdfunding campaign within this period, the offer will be rescinded.

The Funding Partner reserves the right to vary these match funding criteria; projects will be notified if their match funding criteria will vary from the stated terms above.

Once the Fund has been allocated no further applications will be accepted. The Fund may be closed at any time.
