Opening doors to untapped potential in the creative industries
The Andy Taylor Foundation helps young people find pathways in to the creative industries and provides them with the skills, experience and networks to build long and successful careers. We are raising funds to support this work and help The Foundation grow to reach more talent and open more doors. Foot In The Door
Our first programme was delivered in 2022 in partnership with SharpFutures, ITV Studios, LADbible, Lime Pictures and Studio Lambert North. Six young people from Greater Manchester spent 12 weeks on our Foot In The Door programme and since graduating in August 2022, are now all in employment.
Andy Taylor
The Foundation was the idea of Andy Taylor, one of the pioneers of digital media in the UK and an inspiration and mentor to many who followed in his footsteps.
Andy was a proud son of Lancashire and the North who made his way into the media via the University of Nottingham, an early career as a lawyer and then cutting-edge digital teams at Victoria Real, Channel 4 and All3Media.
Andy then co-founded Little Dot Studios which quickly became one of the largest distributors of premium content on YouTube and producer of factual channels, which include the BAFTA award winning Real Stories.
Tragically, Andy died from a brain tumour in December 2020. Family, friends and colleagues of Andy believe there is no better tribute to his life than to enable others to access rewarding careers in an industry that he was so passionate about.
The Foundation will identify and fund high impact programmes that create career pathways and open doors to diverse talent. By supporting the Andy Taylor Foundation you will be helping to connect some of the most dynamic media organisations with talented young people, whose potential might otherwise be overlooked.
