Anaconda Swimming Club is Islington's only Premier Division competitive swim team
We are a parent-run, friendly and supportive charity swimming club in Islington & the City of London.
We offer quality teaching sessions (4+) through to competitive squads training and developing potential National medalists.
In partnership with Hackney Aquatics and our shared Director of Swimming, we work to maximise opportunities for all of our stakeholders.
Our mission is to help each individual swimmer fulfil their best potential.
We believe that every young person in London should have an opportunity to swim and our bursary fund will help children towards their training costs, travel and gala entry fees.
Our Achievements in 2024
Anaconda swimmers regularly compete at County, Regional and National Level. In the last few years we have increased the number of National Qualifiers year on year, and for the first time have had relay teams in the final at British Nationals for the first demonstrating the depth within the club.
In the younger age groups, our 2024 joint M11 league team finished 2nd in the league narrowly missing out on a place in the National final.
How Your Donation Helps
Our swimmers come from a diversity of backgrounds, but share a belief in being resilient, talented and determined. Our coaches are dedicated to keeping these relationships going but like many youth organisations, we’re struggling with the demand for our bursary fund.
We need our partners, funders, parents/carers and local communities to work with us. If we work together, we can make a real difference in people’s live.
Your donations will help us to:
• Provide financial support to those families and swimmers struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.
• Provide support towards monthly training and travel costs and gala entry fees.
• Provide support for swimmer's equipment and bursaries towards training camps.
• Remove barriers to swimming and ensure that the swimmers in our club reflect the cultural and ethnic diversity of our borough.
Every gift, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
You can help by spreading the word on social media and asking your family, friends, and neighbours to donate. Any donation no matter how small or large will help.
Are you a local business that wants to help your local community? If so, please get in contact with us at [email protected].
Or perhaps the company you work for can give a small (or regular) donation?
What The Swimmers Are Doing To Help
Our swimmers have passion, determination and the hunger to succeed.
On the 22nd of September they will take part in our first Festival Of Swimming – 8 lanes, 8 hours and 8 activities raising money for the access fund.
