Are you an organisation based in London’s outer boroughs, with an idea to help your local community, but not sure how to get started? Trust for London has again teamed up with Crowdfunder, launching the Local Action Poverty Fund to help get great ideas the support and funding they need to get started.
Trust for London tackles some of London’s most pressing social issues, working to improve the lives of Londoners by increasing their pay, helping reduce the cost of living and supporting community groups to thrive.
By using the power of the crowd, ideas to benefit the London outer boroughs could find the funding and support they need to turn their ideas into a reality on Crowdfunder, a leading UK crowdfunding platform, with match funding up to £10,000 from Trust for London.
Whether it’s raising funds for charitable work that offers practical support solutions to people on low incomes, addresses local issues in creative ways or it’s a community led project for community benefit – crowdfunding provides the opportunity to access both support and funding for your idea.
Small Charities Coalition is working with the team, saying : “The Small Charities Coalition is delighted to be working with Crowdfunder UK to support small not for profits in outer London access match funding for their community fundraising. The Crowdfunder platform is a bright, accessible opportunity for small organisations to harness the good will and support of their members to address the very real issues of poverty and inequality impacting on so many Londoners. To receive match funding from a major London Funder like Trust for London, will mean so much to so many small organisations whose work often gets overlooked and ignored, this is recognition that small is not only beautiful but also powerful.”
Eligible organisations should be:
- Located and working in outer London
- Undertaking charitable work to tackle poverty and inequality
- Actively involving people in their communities in the delivery of their work
- Raising funds from a minimum of 25 individuals
- Operating with an annual income of under £100,000.
Organisations must meet the criteria listed here.
