The Mission to Seafarers is a charity dedicated to supporting seafarers throughout the world. 

During these hugely turbulent times, seafarers continue to transport more than 90% of the world’s goods and are continuing to provide us with the food on our shelves, the fuel in our cars and the medical equipment needed on the front line. 

While medical workers are receiving PPE, being provided with deserved support and recognition, most seafarers are experiencing travel restrictions preventing them from returning home, a lack of connectivity that cuts them off from their loved ones, and extended contracts, keeping them at sea. 

The Mission’s Samaritan’s Fund helps provide support where it is most needed by seafarers and their families, often in life-changing situations.

Around the world, right now, our Chaplain in Tuticorin, India, is taking food to families who are hungry and unable to buy food. With seafarers unable to join ships easily because of the crew change difficulties, their breadwinner is no longer unable to provide and support them.

Within the UK, 94 Indian cadets couldn’t complete their training and require support in registering with the High Commission for repatriation as well as food vouchers and safe accommodation during their enforced stay.

In the Philippines, we provide a minibus to transfer seafarers from dormitories to their homes, after mandatory quarantine, due to the local travel restrictions and enforced lockdown, as well as essential supplies of food and water.  

Aside from these, there are thousands of seafarers need our support daily, all around the world. This campaign will ensure seafarers and their families can be supported, and reunited with their loved ones during these desperate times. 

Funds donated via this site will support these cases, others like these and COVID-19 related requests for support from seafarers and their families.

This site charges no transaction fees and all proceeds will go to The Mission to Seafarers.
