In the 2025/2026 season, Tewkesbury Town Colts F.C. celebrates 50 years at the heart of our community.
Over 500 children play every week, supported by volunteers, coaches, and families, but despite this, we still don’t have a place to truly call home.
Now, we have a once in a generation opportunity to change that.
We’re actively working to secure major funding, but community support is essential to make this project happen.
A Long Awaited Opportunity
For over 15 years, we’ve worked to secure a permanent base. Today, our teams play across multiple sites, many without basic facilities like toilets or changing rooms.
As the club has grown, especially with the rapid rise of girls’ football, the need for a safe, inclusive, purpose-built facility has become essential.
Our players deserve better. Our community deserves better.
What We’re Building
A dedicated community sports hub including:
- Modern changing rooms
- Accessible facilities
- High-quality pitches
- A welcoming community space
And at its heart:
Tewkesbury’s First Female Centre of Excellence
Creating opportunities for girls in football and supporting future players, coaches, and leaders.
More Than Football
This isn’t just about sport.
This will be:
- A hub for health and wellbeing
- A space for families and social connection
- A venue for events and community activities
A place where the whole community belongs.
A Real Plan - Backed by Funding
This project is already being supported through:
- Developer contributions
- Funding applications to the Football Foundation
These funding streams are critical to delivering the core build.
However, they are highly competitive and often depend on demonstrating strong community backing.

The Reality - Why Donations Still Matter
To fully equip and run the facility, we need to fund essential infrastructure including:
- Pitch fencing and safety systems
- Irrigation and pitch maintenance equipment
- Player shelters and seating
- Kitchen, function room, and community spaces
- Security and operational equipment
Total setup costs alone: ~£300,000
And beyond that, there are ongoing costs every year to keep the facility open, safe, and running.
As a grassroots club, these costs cannot be covered by subs alone.

- Bike shelters & eco-friendly access – £5,000+
- Seating and outdoor areas for families – £2,000+
Community & Social Spaces

Safety & Operations
- CCTV & security systems – £3,000+
