Weymouth Climate Hub will be a focal point for local action on climate and nature. We have a temporary home in St Nicholas Street but we are looking for more permanent premises.
Individuals will be able to come to us for help with any questions or queries, and any environmental or ecological projects of any size.
Existing local groups will have a home to host any events they might put on, and a hub where they can connect with other like-minded groups and organisations.
We also aim to assist with, and complement, the work the Town Council is doing with its Climate Plan.
By bringing all these strands together, we aim to be able to foster and nurture real-life projects that will reduce local carbon emissions and promote the local ecology.
Everyone involved with the charity is volunteering their time and energy. No-one is getting paid so all donations go directly towards costs; insurance, printing, rent, utilities, equipment, display materials and project-specific costs.
