Let Music Unite

Aim

To fund the hire of PA equipment and to pay the travel expenses of some of the bands who are appearing.

Let Music Unite is a concert on Chesil beach with the aim of building bridges between the local communities of Portland and Weymouth, and the refugees who are being housed on the barge at Portland Port.

The musicians appearing will be a mix of local people and refugees who are now resident in the UK. Bring some percussion and you can join in too!

Music is something that every human being can appreciate and the hope is that concert this will give an opportunity for locals and asylum-seekers to learn more about each other. 

It's all being organised by local volunteers and there are unavoidable expenses involved, so we're seeking help to raise funds for the hire of the PA equipment and the travel expenses of some of the musicians. If we raise enough money we would like to actually pay the musicians as well!
