The Chairs of Key Changes Music Therapy and Blue Apple Theatre are walking from Eastleigh to Winchester along the river on the 8th April
Ed is passionate about supporting the work of Blue Apple Theatre since he was introduced to the charity nine years ago. For the last four years he has been a trustee and since the autumn Chair of this charity.
Blue Apple is an ambitious creative company that supports performers with learning disabilities to develop theatre, dance and film productions that are performed within a variety of large and small scale public venues.
Blue Apple is based in Winchester but our ever-expanding programme of workshop groups and outreach sessions is spread throughout Hampshire, whilst our performers tour throughout the southern counties and appear further afield nationally and increasingly internationally.
You can see how Blue Apple Theatre impacts its participants lives by watching this short video:

Recently Ed has had even more reason to support this cause as a close relation has been diagnosed with a learning disability which spurred him to start this fundraiser.
A close friend of Ed's is Jim Squire, Jim and Ed have known each other as friends and colleagues since 2001, and are both passionate about using their strategic leadership skills to enable their respective charities to operate and support those who benefit from them. They did a practice walk recently and learned that Ed needed a new pair of boots - about 100 yards in!

Nevertheless we were both still smiling after 5 miles of heavy rain!

Sparkle the dog needed a towel though!
Sparkle likes to get involved too; this is her joining in with the singing group in Eastleigh last December:

On the 8th April Ed and Jim will be walking from the Point in Eastleigh to the Theatre Royal in Winchester to symbolise the connections to the Arts by both charities. They will be walking from the industrial railway town of Eastleigh, to Winchester the Cathedral City, via the Hampshire countryside, to symbolise the reach of both charities across the County.
Ed would be very grateful if you could donate to this page, using Gift Aid if possible, to support the work of Blue Apple Theatre in 'changing the world one performance at a time'.
We are not in competition; this page is Ed's page fundraising for Blue Apple Theatre. If you wish to sponsor Jim at Key Changes this is the link:
