Who are we?
We are a sports and social club with a pride in our crown green bowling facilities. Our club is open to all ages and abilities, and we aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for anyone interested in joining the sport or simply enjoying our facilities. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or a complete beginner, there’s a place for you here.
Our mission is to foster a strong, supportive community where people can come together, stay active, and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with being part of a sports club. We want to encourage new participants to experience the benefits of bowling, build friendships, and be part of something special.
Why are we crowdfunding
We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support in raising £5,070 for the upgrade of our outdated crown green bowling maintenance equipment. Our current machinery, though reliable in its time, is now showing signs of wear and tear, making it increasingly difficult to maintain the high standard of our bowling green.
We have been successful in obtaining a grant from sport England of £5,070 under the condition we raise the same amount.
Caring for a crown green requires precision, skill, and the right tools, and having modern, efficient machinery will ensure we can continue to provide an excellent playing surface for bowlers of all ages and abilities. Unfortunately, the cost of upgrading to newer, more reliable machinery is beyond what we can currently afford, which is why we’re turning to the generosity of our community through crowdfunding.
We wish to secure the long term future of our bowling facilities, which bring great benefits to all members and visitors, whether you’re enjoying a relaxing drink outside or come to watch the various bowls events we host.
How will the money be spent.
If we raise our target amount we are hopeful of purchasing the Dennis FT510 . The Dennis FT510 offers a comprehensive solution to all our maintenance needs in one versatile machine, it is able to mow, scarify, verti cut, brush, sarel roll and slit. All the essential requirements for the upkeep of our green.
This high-performance equipment is specifically designed for bowling greens, Moreover, its interchangeable cassettes mean we won’t need multiple machines for different tasks, saving us both space and maintenance costs.
