We are Whitehead Steelers JRFC, a grassroots sports club based in Newport, built by the community, for the community. For years, we've been giving kids, teens, and adults a safe, inclusive space to train, grow, and thrive through sport.
Why We’re Fundraising
This year, we’re on a mission to raise funds to improve our club facilities — making them even better for our players, coaches, and the wider community. With the rising costs of wet-weather training spaces, we want to invest in solutions that keep our teams active and progressing, rain or shine 🌧️➡️☀️
As a volunteer-led club, we depend on the generosity of our community to keep going. We’re reaching out for your support to transform our aging squash courts into a modern gym for all our kids and an analysis space for our teams. By investing in our facilities, we can create a welcoming environment that benefits everyone in the community.
