Driving Aid to Ukraine 12k Winter Appeal to Jan 23

Dear All 

Happy New Year and I hope you had an excellent festive break.

The festive period remained active for Driving Aid to Ukraine 

-Our late Dec trip (10th trip) donations arrived in Ukraine in time for Christmas.

-Some of the Martin Primary School toys were distributed to displaced children on Christmas day. 

-More of the 10th trip donations arrived deeper into Ukraine in the last few days

-School stationery packs from the 9th trip (which arrived in Ukraine the first week of Dec) were distributed in Kherson.

-Our Jan trip is provisionally booked for the last weekend in Jan 

-New donations have been arriving and are already being boxed up 

• We will also transport Support Ukraine UK and Goods for Goods donations at the end of Jan.

-Progress is being made with conversations with UK charities / NGOs-  we are likely to run a 40-ton truck to Ukraine or Ukraine border with one of them in Feb.

-We forged a new partnership with a Dutch NGO in Amsterdam that will help us with logistics for mainland Europe donations.

-We are also discussing two further partnerships.

Through our partnership network we; 

-coordinated transport for 15 residential generators direct from the UK to Kyiv ( due   to depart in ten days) 

-set up transport options for 24 heavy-duty generators going to the Ukraine Electricity Grid from Staffordshire.
