Aim

Help us buy a new trampoline so our disability gymnasts can train safely, build confidence and reach their full potential.

Who are we?

Springers Trampolining Club is a friendly, inclusive trampolining club based at Crosby Leisure Centre. Founded in 1998 by Head Coach Cal, we have been providing trampolining opportunities for over 25 years.

We welcome members aged 4 and above and offer both recreational and competitive pathways, helping gymnasts develop confidence, fitness, resilience and a love for sport. As a community-focused club, we are committed to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate, regardless of age, background or ability.

Over recent years, we have seen significant growth in our disability programme, with more gymnasts joining the club and progressing through the competitive pathway. We are proud to support athletes of all abilities and provide a safe, supportive environment where every member can achieve their full potential.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are delighted to have been awarded funding through the Movement Fund from Sport England. To unlock this funding, we must raise matched funds to help purchase a new competition-standard Ultimate trampoline, surrounding floor mats and safety push-in mats.

The demand for our disability sessions has increased significantly, and many of our disability gymnasts are now performing at a high level and competing in regional and national competitions. To continue supporting their development, they need access to modern, competition-standard equipment that reflects the standards they experience when competing.

We currently only have one older Ultimate Trampoline which has to be shared across over 40 competition kids. Whilst we do have other trampolines, there are not the right size or standard compared to what the gymnasts will compete on at competitions . These trampolines are great for practicing basic skills, but as our kids develop new, harder skill, they need to have the correct equipment to do this. Having the correct equipment is essential for both safety and progression. The new trampoline and safety mats will provide a safer training environment, reduce the risk of injury and allow our gymnasts to learn and refine skills with confidence. Most importantly, it will ensure our disability athletes have the same opportunities to train, compete and succeed as any other gymnast.

By supporting this project, you will help create a more inclusive sporting environment and provide opportunities for current and future disability gymnasts to thrive.

How we'll spend the money raised

The funds raised will be used directly towards purchasing and installing new equipment for our disability gymnastics programme.

Budget breakdown:

• Competition-standard Ultimate trampoline – £11,820

• Surrounding floor safety mats – £397x4= £1588

• Safety push-in mats – £185x2= £370

Total project cost: £13,778

Funding received from The Movement Fund if we match their contribution: £6,889

We need to raise: £6,889

The funding awarded through Sport England's Movement Fund, together with the money raised through this crowdfunding campaign, will enable us to purchase this essential equipment and provide a safer, more inclusive training environment for our members.

Community impact

Springers Trampolining Club is much more than a sports club. We are a community where people of all ages and abilities can come together, stay active, build confidence and make lasting friendships.

Our disability programme provides opportunities for participants who may otherwise face barriers to accessing sport. Through trampolining, our gymnasts develop physical skills such as balance, coordination and strength, while also improving confidence, independence and social wellbeing.

The new equipment will benefit not only our current disability members but also future participants, allowing us to expand our programme and welcome more people into the club. It will help ensure that local disabled athletes have access to high-quality facilities within their community, removing barriers to participation and supporting long-term involvement in sport.

Every contribution to this project will have a lasting impact, helping us create a safer, more inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to enjoy sport and reach their potential.
