I’m taking a leap (literally!) to fund vital support for neurodivergent individuals and families in our community.

Why I’m Jumping Out of a Plane for Unmasked

Hi, I’m Toni – counsellor, mum, wife,  neurodivergent woman, and co-founder of Unmasked Neurodiversity Network CIC, based in East Leeds. On 8th August 2025, I’ll be taking on a terrifying but exciting challenge: a 10,000ft sky dive!

I’m doing this to raise money for Unmasked – our self-funded community interest company that supports neurodivergent individuals and families who are often left behind by mainstream services.

About Unmasked

Unmasked is a neurodivergent-led organisation offering:

• Low-cost and free counselling (individual & group)
• Peer support connection spaces
• Creative therapy groups
• Parent/carer support
• signposting
• A safe, inclusive, lived-experience-led environment

We work with people who have ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia, sensory differences, mental health challenges, or who are simply trying to make sense of life in a world that often doesn’t fit.

We’re based in Seacroft, Leeds, and we’re proud to support the people in our local community — many of whom feel like they’ve been let down or misunderstood for too long.

Where Will Your Donations Go?

Because we’re a CIC, we don’t receive ongoing charity funding. We rely on grants, small donations, and our own time and energy to keep going. Every penny from this fundraiser will help us:

 Provide more free and low-cost counselling sessions

 Buy supplies and refreshments for our community cafés and creative groups

Fund room hire and running costs

 Support neurodivergent parents and carers who need a listening ear

 Train and support new volunteer counsellors

We’re growing fast because the need is so real — and this fundraiser could make a huge difference in what we’re able to offer this year.

Why This Sky Dive Matters to Me

This is more than just a fundraiser. It’s a personal challenge to push myself and raise awareness of how much neurodivergent people need spaces like Unmasked. As someone with lived experience of ADHD and Autism — and as a counsellor who hears the stories of others every day — I know how life-changing it can be to feel heard and supported.

 I’m not an adrenaline junkie. But I believe in this mission so much, I’m willing to jump out of a plane for it!
