🌍 Help Power Our Family Rugby Club with Green Energy!
🏉 Our community rugby club has always been about more than just sport. We’re a family. A place where kids take their first pass, teens grow into leaders, and lifelong friendships are made on and off the pitch. Now, we want to take the next step—to build a sustainable, welcoming future for our club and everyone who calls it home.
⚡ Why We Need Your Help
Like so many community clubs, we’re under pressure from rising costs. Our monthly energy bills are already around £1,500, and with winter approaching we’ll be switching on the floodlights every evening. That makes things difficult at times and takes money away from where it belongs—supporting players and keeping rugby alive for all ages.
By going green and upgrading our facilities, we can cut these costs, protect the club for the long term, and create a better environment for everyone.
🌟 What Your Support Will Achieve
With your help, we’ll:
• Install solar panels to generate clean energy and cut bills year-round.
• Replace old floodlights with energy-efficient LED lighting so training sessions can continue safely into the evenings.
• Add LED car park lighting, making the club safer and more welcoming for families and visitors.
• Invest in pitch maintenance and drainage, so fewer games are called off and more rugby gets played, rain or shine.
• Provide a new container unit, giving us much-needed storage and freeing up space to create more changing facilities for players.
• Install a modern, solar-powered scoreboard to enhance the match-day experience.
👉 Cutting £500 from our monthly bills means saving £6,000 a year - enough to cover the costs of new equipment every season for all of our rugby teams, cover the first aid supply costs and that of the club physio meaning we can invest more back into grassroots rugby.

Before: A club battling rising energy bills, outdated floodlights, dark car parks, and pitches that are unplayable after heavy rain. Every penny spent on bills is money taken away from players and youth development.

A new scoreboard bringing fans closer to the action. And extra storage that frees up space, releasing more changing facilities for players.
