At Wicksteed Park, walls will bloom with life - birds, bats, bees, and blossoms - showing how every home can become a haven for nature.
Step inside Wicksteed Park and discover a building alive with wildlife. Bat boxes, bird boxes, and buzzing pollinators are waiting - and you can help make it real.
You can support this living Lodge in any way you can. Any donation, large or small, helps bring the Lodge’s vision to life and creates a wildlife-friendly sanctuary for generations to come.
We are Kettering Nature Group (KNG), and we see this building not as brick and mortar, but as a canvas ready to grow and inspire. Its walls will shimmer with pollinators, cradle bat and bird boxes, and host climbing flowers twisting skyward. Insect hotels will buzz quietly, rainwater features will shelter wildlife, and green spaces will teach without words.
Step closer: bat boxes tucked for safe roosts, bird boxes poised for tiny families, flowers warmed by the morning sun, shady refuges for insects, and greenery catching the afternoon light. Every wall, every surface, every corner will tell a story and hum with life.
Families will linger, children will whisper “look,” and every glance will carry a little of your hand in its creation. The Lodge will be entrusted to Wicksteed Park, and open to everyone. Its lessons will ripple outward - from the park to home gardens, schoolyards, and streets - sparking small acts of care that travel farther than any one of us can imagine.
