From IT Support to Artistic Entrepreneur: My Journey to Custom 3D Printed Nails
With a background in computer science and years spent providing technical support in the NHS, my life was once all about problem-solving and systems. But during the Covid pandemic, I had a realisation: life is too short not to pursue your passions. This realisation led me to take a leap of faith—leaving my job, beginning my medical transition from male to female, and reflecting on the life I truly wanted to live.
As I embraced my authentic self, I rediscovered my love for art through make-up, fashion, and especially nails. This creative exploration reignited a spark I hadn’t felt in years. Combining my technical skills with my newfound artistic passion, I saw an opportunity: to bring custom 3D printed press-on nails to people who crave unique, salon-quality designs from the comfort of home. I noticed a gap in the UK market for truly personalised nail art, and set out to fill it.
