This project aims to raise much needed funds to help take care of the animals at The ARC Centre in Greenvale Primary School, Selsdon.

We're still collecting donations

On the 8th March 2021 we'd raised £12,480 with 176 supporters in 60 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

 New stretch target

All money raised will go straight into the care of our animals, from paying for vet bills, to the heating bills needed to keep our exotic animals happy in winter. Any extra money will go towards building a pool for our capybara Yondu, which would greatly improve his welfare.

Due to the government lockdown, The ARC Centre has had to shut. Being on the site of a primary school, we are not in the position to access the majority of government funds. We therefore need to raise funds to help support the animals during this lockdown. As we are in Winter, our biggest outgoings are bills including heating for the animals. We know we are going to also have a huge vet bill come in shortly, which will take a lot of our savings. We are truly terrified as to how we are going to raise enough money to stay afloat over this lockdown. We know that this pandemic has affected everyone and we greatly welcome any donation at all that anyone could give.

The ARC Centre has been featured in South West Londoner! ????

A reporter Declan Carey contacted us and asked to write an article on our fundraising. Our campaign is now so close to our target! It has brought us such joy to see the support of our amazing community, especially after a very difficult start to the year, which has gotten worse this week (w/c 11/01/20).

As mentioned in the article, on Tuesday our accountant informed us that due to an error, all of our staff are now ineligible for furlough. This means we now need to find £15,000 to pay our staff, on top of needing to raise funds to care for the animals and stay afloat during this lockdown.

Every professional we have spoken to has recommended that we offer our staff redundancy for a mistake that is not ours.  We are continuing to investigate this issue and we are going to do everything we can to protect our incredible staff and the centre.

His article is in the link below, featuring the lovely Frodo!

If you would like to support the ARC, please share this article to help us raise funds to save our Centre.

We are finding it very difficult to get financial help from the council, but we were delighted to receive a donation from a local company at Christmas who wanted to support a good cause! If you know of any company or person that might be interested in  supporting the centre, please do let us know.

As said by Dumbledore, "happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light".  Thank you to everyone who is supporting us, for being our light. We truly appreciate every single person who has sent essentials from our amazon wishlist, donated, dropped of fruit and veg or ordered through Wood Fruits.

Thank you so very much all of your support.
