Tennisathon - we are playing tennis for 12 hours!

Aim

On 27th June myself and some members are going to play tennis for 12 hours solidly to raise money for the club's tennis court transformation

I have been a member of this club since I was a junior. For over forty years, these courts have been my second home (my husband would agree), a place to have fun and I have developed many friendships over the years playing tennis. Playing tennis has been essential for my health and well being over the years and made me feel part of the wider community.

But today, we are at a point were we can't continue without resurfacing our courts. Our courts have reached a point where they are no longer fit for play. Without urgent resurfacing, we will simply not be able to continue to exist as a club.

This fundraiser isn't just about me or current members; it’s about the whole community. From the local schools that access our facilities to the future generations of juniors who deserve the same chance I had to fall in love with the game - we are fighting to keep our courts open for everyone.
