Aim

Help us make art accessible for all! Spark creativity, build connections, and create impact through workshops, public projects, and summit.

Thank you so much for being part of this journey!

We’re excited to share that Tapestry of Voices is officially underway, and thanks to early supporters like you, we’re already building strong momentum.

Tapestry of Voices is a community-led arts project that uses textile-making to transform personal memories into shared cultural expression. From April to September 2026, the programme will work with over 150 underrepresented women and young people across Lewisham, Guildford, and Wood Green through a series of in-person workshops, online mentorship, and skill-building sessions delivered in partnership with local women’s centres and youth organisations.

The project will come together in a public exhibition in London in july 2026, presenting newly created community artworks alongside works by international artists, placing local voices within a wider contemporary context while creating space for storytelling, connection, and long-term creative empowerment.

Every contribution, big or small, helps us turn this vision into reality. With creativity, care, and community at the centre, we’re ready to bring Tapestry of Voices to life. And this is only the beginning.

By supporting this campaign, you’re helping us make art accessible to all: sparking creativity, building connections, and creating real impact through workshops, exhibitions, and cultural programmes.

Who We Are

We are Art Voyage CIC, an arts organisation committed to empowering artists, working with communities, and making creativity accessible to all.

Through collaborative workshops, exhibitions, and public art projects, we create spaces where people can come together to share stories, celebrate diversity, and build meaningful cultural exchange. We believe art belongs beyond gallery walls, in communities, shared spaces, and everyday life.

As a nomadic platform, Art Voyage fosters a dynamic global arts ecosystem where collaboration is central, innovation is supported, and artists are given the tools and opportunities to grow and thrive.

Why Your Support Matters

Your support helps us create spaces where stories can be shared, skills can grow, and voices are valued.

Tapestry of Voices uplifts communities, nurtures creativity, and ensures that lived experiences, often overlooked, are seen and heard.

With your help, we can:

  • Ensure fair pay for artists, facilitators, and mentors, recognising their time, skill, and cultural knowledge
  • Provide textile materials and resources for community workshops, offering hands-on access to creative practice
  • Support migrant and refugee women and young people, empowering them to share their stories through making
  • Create safe, inclusive spaces that support wellbeing, reflection, and connection
  • Present a free public exhibition that brings community voices into the cultural spotlight
  • Build a lasting creative legacy that connects people across generations and cultures through shared making

Your support helps us continue to create spaces where art thrives. Uplifting communities, inspiring change, and ensuring that every voice can be heard.

Our Mission

Tapestry of Voices exists to address ongoing barriers within the cultural sector and to create meaningful access for those most often excluded.

The project focuses on migrant and disadvantaged women, alongside young people aged 16–25 facing social, economic, or emotional hardship. Many experience limited access to creative spaces, mentorship, and professional opportunities.

The programme offers a supportive, skills-focused environment where young people can learn, create, and build community. By engaging them in hands-on making, collaborative storytelling, and professional experience, we support their wellbeing, identity formation, and access to future career pathways.

Through this project, we aim to:

  • Remove barriers to creative participation through free, accessible textile workshops

  • Provide structured mentorship and skills development for long-term creative growth

  • Create safe, supportive spaces for storytelling, wellbeing, and connection

  • Amplify underrepresented voices through a public exhibition and cultural programme

  • Support confidence, visibility, and pathways into the creative sector.

Our mission is to build access, representation, and opportunity through creative practice: one project, one collaboration, one community at a time.

Our Journey So Far

Tapestry of Voices builds on the foundations of Art Voyage CIC’s recent work supporting migrant-led and community-centred cultural projects.

Through this work, we developed strong partnerships with artists, community organisations, and cultural institutions, while learning what communities need most: safe spaces, sustained support, and opportunities to be heard.

Tapestry of Voices is the next step in this journey. It deepens our commitment to long-term community engagement by focusing on skill-building, mentorship, and collective storytelling through textile practice, transforming personal experiences into shared cultural expression.

With your support, this journey continues, expanding access, strengthening communities, and ensuring these stories are not only told, but valued.

What’s Next

Following Tapestry of Voices, Art Voyage CIC will continue to develop community-led projects that bring art into public spaces and support underrepresented voices.

This work is part of a longer journey toward the launch of our first Art Voyage Biennial in 2027, a travelling platform connecting artists and communities across cultures and borders.

By supporting this campaign, you are helping lay the foundations for that future.

Our Vision

We envision a cultural landscape where every voice has space, value, and visibility.

Tapestry of Voices imagines a future in which communities are not just audiences, but active creators of culture, shaping narratives through care, memory, and shared making.

Our vision is to:

  • Create accessible creative spaces where people feel safe to share their stories
  • Bridge generations and cultures through textile-making and collective storytelling
  • Embed creativity into everyday life, beyond traditional art institutions
  • Build long-term pathways for underrepresented voices within the cultural sector
  • Leave a living legacy of connection, skill-sharing, and cultural resilience

Through Tapestry of Voices, we are weaving a future where creativity strengthens communities and belonging is built together.

Our Previous Projects

Our programmes span exhibitions, public art, summits, residencies and community engagement, all designed to generate lasting cultural, social and economic impact.

Our previous project Echoes of Migration was funded by Art Council and National Lottery. Tapestry of Voices advances Art Voyage’s core mission to champion marginalised and underrepresented voices. Following the success of Echoes of Migration, including our inaugural Art Summit 2025 held at the Royal Society of Arts and Public Installation at Manor House Gardens Lewisham, this programme marks the next phase of our commitment to amplifying hidden histories and community narratives through contemporary artistic practice.
