TAAG CIO

RCN 1188013, Teignmouth

TAAG CIO (Teignmouth Arts Action Group) has been at the forefront of the arts in Teignmouth for over fifteen years. We are open most days from 10am to 5pm and host exhibitions, workshops & community activities. TAAG reopened in summer 2023 after extended closure for COVID and major ground floor refurbishment. Since then, TAAG exhibitions and workshops have gone from strength to strength, and the number of users and visitors continues to grow. We recently received a significant donation which will allow us to start planned first floor work in January/February 2026. This period of closure is a great opportunity to provide more facilities for our users and visitors. However the funds we have at present will not allow us to carry out all of the planned work, which includes a large community workshop, and so we are appealing for donations to maximise the work we can do. You can donate directly - full details are shown on our website www.teignmoutharts.org - or via this Crowdfunder appeal. Thank you! See below for fuller details.

Teignmouth Arts Action Group (TAAG) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. It was originally formed to improve communication between artists and art organisations, and to facilitate arts in the Teignmouth area.

Our Arts and Community Centre is used by a wide variety of organisations for art exhibitions, workshops and community activities.

In 2020 we bought the TAAG building for, and with the assistance of, the local community. In summer 2023, TAAG reopened after extended closure for COVID and major ground floor refurbishment. In the following winter, the roof was replaced and the top floor was rebuilt.

Since our reopening the TAAG programme of exhibitions and workshops has gone from strength to strength, and the number of users and visitors continues to grow.

In 2025 we received a significant donation which will allow us to start planned first floor work in January/February 2026 - including work on the TAAG frontage, first floor electrics & plumbing, fire & alarms, a new ground floor corridor, and the creation of a large first floor workshop.

This period of closure is a great opportunity to realise our first floor objectives for the TAAG project and to provide more facilities for our users and visitors. However the funds we have at present will not allow us to carry out all of this work and so we are appealing for donations to maximise the work we can do in this window of opportunity.

Please donate to support this phase of our our rebuilding work. You can do this directly - full details are shown on our website www.teignmoutharts.org - or via our Crowdfunder appeal. In either case if you pay tax we can, with your consent, claim 25% extra giftaid.

We are grateful for all your donations, large or small, which together will help us to give access to the TAAG first floor and to provide more facilities for the people of Teignmouth and visitors to the town. Thank you!

Madspirals – £40

Hi there...Maddy Moon Norris here. TAAG has been an important part of my life, right from the very beginning, when the first seeds of the idea were sown...and now look! What a tremendous Cultural Centre and Art Gallery coming to fruition! Even though I no longer live in Devon, TAAG remains deeply embedded in my heart. As an Artist, I am more than happy to support this wonderful project...I hope my donation can go towards a few roof tiles. www.maddyartist.com
