Aim: Support me in running a 5K to support Care Leavers across the UK build better lives.
Hi, I'm Sonia, part of Team Run for Rees! On Sunday, 13th April, we’ll take on the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K Run, covering a combined 124km to raise vital funds for young Care Leavers across the UK.
Imagine being taken into care as a child—perhaps after suffering abuse, neglect, or the devastating loss of your parents. Instead of the stability of a loving home, these young people often endure multiple moves, new foster carers, or life in a residential home. By the time they leave care, they’ve already faced more than most of us can imagine. And then? They’re left to face the challenges of adulthood—alone. It’s a heartbreaking reality. But together, we can change it.
