Aim

To support those workers at the The Refuge/Kimpton Clocktower Hotel who have been sacked & victimised by IHG for wanting a better workplace

1773683457_kimpton_.jpgStaff at the iconic Manchester Kimpton Clocktower Hotel are fighting for better working conditions and trade union recognition, yet so far the employer has refused to engage in meaningful dialogue with workers - ignoring the collective nature of their grievance - as well as declining to even enter talks about possible trade union recognition.

They are fighting to end the overworking of employees, unreasonable notice in rota changes, impractical uniform, lack of support when staff are off sick, poorly equipped work environment, and the unsafe travel arrangements for staff travelling to and from work in the early and late hours.

Days after they lodged their collective grievance, senior management for IHG (one of the biggest hotel chains in the world) terminated one leader and suspended another in a clear case of union victimisation. They are now left with no income or ability to pay rent or bills.
