Aim: We will bring Plymouth's LGBTQIA+ communities together by hosting a world class inclusive Pride event on Saturday 5 August at Central Park

Plymouth Pride CIC is a group of volunteers from across the city with a shared goal of delivering the greatest Pride event Plymouth has seen.

We want to change the narrative that the city doesn't feel safe for LGBTQIA+ and minority communities by celebrating LGBTQIA+ history, culture, and presence so all members of the community can be their true selves.

Not only will Plymouth Pride become a centrepiece of the city's event calendar, but also one of the top Pride events in the UK.

Plymouth Pride will take place on Saturday 5th August at Central Park, with the traditional march starting from the City Centre.

We plan on inviting everyone to Plymouth Pride. The event will also be family friendly with opportunities for young people, as well as parents and children, to learn more about our LGBTQIA+ culture and history through entertainment, traders and members of the community.

Any money raised will be spent directly on this weather proofed event. It is anticipated that the event will cost us  £30,000 and we want to raise £15,000+ via CrowdFunder.

We are passionate about being transparent about our costs and have listed some of the items we will need to hire below (prices are subject to change):

  • Performers: £3,850.00
  • Production (staging, lighting, AV): £10,315.00
  • Security: £2,420.00
  • Medical: £1,075.00
  • Toilets: £100.00 each
  • Insurance: £1,700.00
  • Weather proofing: £4,500.00

We know that the pennies are stretched in the current cost of living crisis, so any support you can give through money or shares would be really appreciated.

With Pride,

Alex, Beckie, Matt, Aaron , Stacey, El, Ellen, Martin, Nova, Adam and Juliet.
