Issy has had a tough couple of years and her mental health has been affected. Her anxiety has impacted on what she can do, and now she needs much more support just to make it through the day. We are working hard to help her get the right environment and people to support her recovery and build up her confidence and be the happy Issy we all love.
Issy adores music and dancing with Flamingo Chicks, so when she received an invitation to be part of a group of young disabled children and their families, to dance at Disneyland, she was over the moon. An opportunity to feel good, do what’s important for her and to just have some much needed fun.
Rehearsals have started, and Issy and me will be performing as a monkey...her very favourite animal. We've even had a sneak peak at the tutu that is being designed...simply gorgeous!!
We need to contribute £400 to the costs, so Issy and I will fundraise by going on a walk/run around Clifton Downs, on Saturday 15th March at 2 pm. You are most welcome to join us- a chance to talk about why moving our bodies helps our mental health and what we 'hope' for ourselves this year. If you can donate a small amount we would be so very grateful. Every pound makes such a positive impact for Issy's mental wellbeing and a chance to be doing the thing that she loves, moving to music. We are most grateful-thank-you in advance for your support.
