Aim
Raising £25,000 to register Stronger Than Silence Foundation and launch our first respite and recovery grants.
Stronger Than Silence Foundation is being established to support survivors of sexual violence and serious crime, together with the families whose lives are profoundly affected by trauma.
The Foundation was inspired by our family’s experience following the Fordingbridge case, in which our daughter, known publicly by the pseudonym “Jazmine”, was one of the young survivors. Through this journey, we witnessed first-hand the devastating and lasting impact that trauma can have, not only on survivors themselves but also on parents, siblings, carers and the wider family network.
Throughout this process, we heard many stories from other survivors and families facing similar challenges. Whilst the criminal justice process is important, recovery does not end when a court case concludes. The effects of trauma can continue for years, affecting education, mental health, confidence, relationships and overall wellbeing.
That is why we are establishing Stronger Than Silence Foundation.
Our vision is to help bridge that gap by providing practical support, respite and recovery opportunities, safe peer support, educational resources and guidance for survivors and families.
Alongside direct support, we are committed to raising awareness of the long-term impact of sexual violence and serious crime. We also intend to campaign for meaningful improvements to survivor rights, sentencing policy, judicial accountability, transparency and wider criminal justice reform.
Why we need your help
Importantly, Stronger Than Silence Foundation is not yet a registered charity.
We are currently working towards Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) status and are putting in place the governance, safeguarding procedures and foundations required to become a properly regulated and sustainable charity.
Our first goal is to raise £25,000.
This funding will enable us to:

🧡 Deliver our first educational talks in schools on consent, healthy relationships and personal safety.
💛 Continue campaigning for positive change and greater accountability within the criminal justice system.
This is just the beginning of a long-term vision.
