❤️ Our Story – Strictly Towcester 2026

Imagine ordinary local people stepping onto a dance floor, under the lights, in front of a packed audience – nervous, excited and completely outside their comfort zone.

They’re not professional dancers. They are our Local Heroes – people from our community who have said YES to an incredible challenge because they want to make a difference.

On Saturday 24th October 2026, Step by Step Dance School will bring the magic of Strictly to Towcester for two spectacular shows at 2:00pm and 6:30pm.

But behind the glitter, music and beautiful costumes is something much more important.

💃 Dancing With a Purpose

For weeks, our Local Heroes will dedicate their time, energy and hearts to learning to dance with their professional partners.

There will be nerves. There will be laughter. There may even be a few tears!

They will learn steps they never thought they could do, discover confidence they didn't know they had and ultimately walk onto that dance floor knowing they are doing it for people who need our support.

That moment – when the music starts and they take their first step – is what Strictly Towcester is all about.

❤️ Why This Means So Much to Us

At Step by Step Dance School, dance has never simply been about learning steps.

We've seen how dancing can change people.

It can give someone confidence when they've lost it. It can create friendships when someone feels alone. It can give children something to believe in and adults an opportunity to rediscover themselves.

We've seen strangers walk through our doors and become friends. We've watched nervous beginners become confident dancers.

That's why we want to use what we love to give something back.

Strictly Towcester is our opportunity to bring hundreds of people together and turn one incredible day of entertainment into something that can have an impact long after the final dance has finished.

We're proudly raising funds to support MSA Trust, Local Dementia Care and SBS Dance & Arts Foundation.

These causes represent people and families who may be facing incredibly difficult circumstances, as well as children and young people who deserve opportunities to discover their own talents and dreams.

Through the SBS Dance & Arts Foundation, we want to continue opening doors for children and young people who might otherwise miss out because their family simply cannot afford opportunities in dance and the arts.

Talent shouldn't depend on how much money your family has.

Every donation helps us take another step towards giving someone an opportunity, providing support or helping a family know that they are not facing their journey alone.

We can create the show.

Our dancers can put in the hours.

Our teachers can give their experience.

Our volunteers can give their time.
